New Blog

http://yuioshi48.tumblr.com/

This is where I'll talk about AKB stuff from now on, I'm reposting my thoughts on the singles there.

Sunday 22 January 2012

Guess who's back.

It's not me, I'm just giving some info. In a few days I'm gonna start up a new blog, which I'll devote to my 48 family posts.

In some long time coming persona updates, I have no idea what I want anymore. I might still have feelings for Bulstrode, I don't know. None of the relationships I've seen form around me have lasted, even Jimmy and May's, which lasted more than a year. Fun Fact, he's now talking to his previous girlfriend a lot.

But I also think I might have feelings for Marie's sister. Not that it's likely to matter, I have the social skills of a gnat.

24 days of singles day 24: Special releases

Here we go with my last post on here for a while.

The first release we look at is Baby! Baby! Baby!, a digital release apparently during the label change period between Sakura no Hanabiritachi 2008 and Oogoe Diamond.
Senbatsu
Team A: Itano Tomomi, Oshima Mai, Kawasaki Nozomi, Kojima Haruna, Sato Yukari, Shinoda Mariko, Yakahasi Minami, Nakanishi Rina, Maeda Atsuko, Minegishi Minami
Team K: Akimoto Sayaka, Umeda Ayaka, Oshima Yuko, Ohori Megumi, Ono Erena, Kasai Tomomi, Miyazawa Sae
Team B: Kashiwagi Yuki, Kikuchi Ayaka, Watanabe Mayu
The song itself mostly talks about being in love. The PV starts with some stuff involving Acchan and going to bed, before we get into the music, with the girls alternatively messing around in a holiday reserve and doing some stuffin 50's outfits. The Senbatsu sung B-side Yume wo Shinaseru Wake ni Ikenai, which is about losing ones path and wondering what to do. There is also the first inclusion of Shonichi on here, though whether it's the same as the other one I don't know.

The next release is sort of not an AKB release at all. Chuu Shiyouze is a collaboration between AKB48 and Fuji TV's Idoling!!!, so let's take a look.
AKBIdoling!!!
AKB48: Itano Tomomi, Oshima Mai, Oshima Yuko, Ono Erena, Kasai Tomomi, Kojima Haruna, Maeda Atsuko, Matsui Jurina
Idoling!!!: Endo Mai, Tonooca Erica, Yazawa Erika, Yokoyama Rurika, Sakai Hitomi, Asahi Nao, Kikuchi Ami, Miyake Hitomi. I don't have access to ttranslated lyrics, but I believe it's about love. The PV has the girls all being friendly with each other, there's a lot of hugging and heart-shaped balloons and kssing of cameras
The single features 2 B-sides. One is an AKB cover of Idoling!!!'s Moteki no Uta, the other is an Idoling!!! cover of AKB classic Aitakatta.

The final thing to talk about is Dareka no Tame ni - Waht can I do for someone? This was a special charity release of an existing song following the Tohoku earthquake. Given the nature of the release I honestly don't think it has a proper Senbatsu this time around. The song itself is a fairly motivational song supposed to encourage.

24 days of singles day 23: Kaza wa Fuiteiru and Kimi no Senaka

Before I starts, I'd like to announce that tomorrows update will be the last update to the blog for a while, as it's getting in the way of some things which are more important right now. Also I don't have access to the translations to any of the songs today.

Senbatsu
Team A: Kojima Haruna, Sashihara Rino, Shinoda Mariko, Takajo Aki, Takahashi Minami, Maeda Atsuko
Team K: Itano Tomomi, Oshima Yuko, Minegishi Minami, Miyazawa Sae, Yokoyama Yui
Team B: Kasai Tomomi, Kashiwagi Yuki, Kitahara Rie, Watanabe Mayu
Team S: Matsui Jurina, Matsui Rena
Team N: Yamamoto Sayaka
Right now let me tell you finding the complete PV is really difficult. The PV starts in a desert like area, when a door opens and the girls step out in their dance uniforms. The story version has them walking in a run down kind of area. The girls are stood around what to me looks like a large hut. Actually it looks like it as teeth. They seem afraid of it. Maeda and Yuko both put their ears to the thing. Oh yeah also the planet's on fire. The girls all start trying to destroy the thing. They manage to break the ropes tying it to the wooden poles. They then move some fur(?) to reveal what looks like eyes. They engage in some kind of prayer which either electrocutes them or sets them on fire. The thing glows before opening it's eyes and mouth. The thing breaths steam which apparently puts out the fire on the world. Then that door shuts.

The Common B-Side is Undergirls with Kimi no Senka
Undergirls
Team A: Iwasa Misaki, Oota Aika, Nakagawa Haruka, Maeda Ami
Team K: Kikuchi Ayaka, Fujie Reina
Team B: Ishida Haruka, Komori Mika, Sato Sumire, Miyazaki Miho
Team 4: Abe Mariya, Ichikawa Miori, Iriyama Anna, Shimazaki Haruka, Yamauchi Suzuran
Team Kenkyuusei: Kato Rena
Team KII: Takayanagi Akane
Team E: Kimoto Kanon
NMB Team Kenkyuusei: Jo Eriko
The first 3 minutes or so have the girls talking in various groups, they're all in the same school. The last minute has Love-tan and Sumire talking, before Sumire leaves by train. The Dance segments have them dancing in a different uniform to the one they wear in the story segments. The story segments during the MV show us the past, when the two were better friends, it seems Sumire has some interest with a member of the baseball team. In the present Sumire boards her train, and Lovetan pushes her bike sadly. We do get to see the other girls doing stuff as well. We see in the past as Lovetan happens to seethe baseball team the one Sumire likes sees her and she ducks out the way. When Sumire and Rabutan get stopped by the level crossing, Lovetan looks back and smiles at the guy, and Sumire sees this. In the present Sumire decideds to forgive her and waves at Lovetan as her train passes. As Sumire's train crosses the crossing two girls stopped by it turns around, causing one excitement.

The A-type B-side is Vamos
Undergirls Baragumi
Team A: Oya Shizuka, Nakata Chisato, Nakaya Sayaka, Matsubara Natsumi
Team K: Uchida Mayumi, Tanabe Miku, Nakatsuka Tomomi, Nonaka Misato, Yonezawa Rumi
Team B: Kobatashi Kana, Suzuki Shihori, Suzuki Mariya, Chikano Rina, Hirajima Natsumi
Team 4: Shimada Haruka, Takeuchi Miyu, Nakamata Shiori, Nagao Mariya
The PV involves the girls and others taking some kind of tour. They meet some people who are at least some what famous as far as I can tell. They come to an area where thers a stage, and told that the Undergirls group here will be performing, but theres little reaction. The group can be seen practicing backstage. The girls come on stage and manage to win the crowd.

The B-type B-side is Gondola Lift
Undergirls Yurigumi
Team A: Katayama Haruka, Kuramochi Asuka
Team K: Akimoto Sayaka, Umeda Ayaka, Nito Moeno, Matsui Sakiko
Team B: Sato Amina, Sato Natsuki, Masuda Yuka
Team 4: Nakamura Mariko
3 of the girls, wearing white, get into an elevator and look thorugh the windows at the people in the apartments. We also get shots of other girls in black, but we also have them all in white on a rooftop. Later one of the girls pours sand into the bottom of an hourglass. A couple others are seen lighting candles. The hourglass turns over. There's alot happening through these window though, and I honestly think it would be worth it to find the PV for yourself to watch.

The Theatre Edition B-Side is Tsubomitachi, a Team 4 and Team Kenkyuusei collaboration.
Team 4: Abe Maria, Ichikawa Miori, Iriyami Anna, Shimizaki Haruka, Shimada Haruka, Takeuchi Miyu, Nakamata Shiori, Nakamura Mariko, Nagao Mariya, Yamauchi Suzuran

Moshidora

Moshi Koko Yakyu no Joshi Manager ga Drucker no "Management" o Yondara is a bestselling novel by Iwasaki Natsumi, published in december 2009, and involves it's lead character Kawashima Minami managing a baseball team using tips from Peter Drucker's Management: Tasks, Responsibilities, Practices,

This thing has been a pretty big deal. A manga adaptation has been serialized since january 2011, a 10 episode anime ran between  25th April 2011 and 6th May 2011, and there's the movie adaptation, released in cinemas on June 4th. It's because of this movie Maeda Atsuko got her solo debut with Flower, and Everyday, Katyusha is part of the soundtrack.

The film stars Meada Atsuko as the lead character, and also stars Minegishi Minami, Seto Koji from D-BOYS, and several other's some of whom are no doubt quite notable. Every member of the baseball team, plus it's management gets some time to shine in this, and it's quite good. So below is my summary.

Watch it yourself, I couldn't do it justice if I did understand it perfectly.  Oh and thanks to Smilodon for posting this earlier on his blog.

24 days of singles day 22: Flying Get and Dakishimechaikenai

Because things'll be a little complicated with this Senbatsu single, I'm going to go backwards.

The Theatre Edition B-Side is Yasai Urenai. This song is in effect a continuation of the advertising campaign that was Yasai Sisters. However this time there isn't a new PV, though new costumes were made, even though anyone already involved had the same vegetable. There were new adverts of the girls driking the juice as well.
Team A: Oota Aika, Kuramochi Asuka, Kojima Haruna, Sashihara Rino, Shinoda Mariko, Takajo Aki, Takahashi Minami, Maeda Atsuko, Maeda Ami
Team K: Akimoto Sayaka, Itano Tomomi, Oshima Yuko, Nito Moeno, Miyazawa Sae, Minegishi Minami, Yokoyama Yui
Team B: Kasai Tomomi, Kashiwagi Yuki, Kitahara Rie, Komori Mika, Sato Sumire, Miyazaki Miho, Watanabe Mayu
Team S: Matsui Jurina, Matsui Rena
Team KII: Takayanagi Akane, Mukaida Manatsu
Team E: Kimoto Kanon
Team N: Yamamoto Sayaka, Watanabe Miyuki
The song talks about how everyone is like a vegetable, and working out which one you are.

The B-type B-side is Ice no Kuchizuke, created as part of an advertising campaign for Ice no Mi candy
Team A: Shinoda Mariko, Takahashi Minami, Maeda Atsuko
Team K: Itano Tomomi, Oshima Yuko
Team B: Watanabe Mayu
Team Kenkyuusei: Eguchi Aimi
The song is about love, but a major recurring element is whoever it is not singing having 'ice cream kisses'. We start with Yuko, Takamina, Mariko, Mayuyu and Tomochin together eating, we get a close up of a photo of all the girls in the single in the singles' costume. Aacchan arrives late, and Yuko asks about the handkerchief she's holding. In a falshback Acchan's recording a commercial or a scene, and takes a break to rest her head, an arm leaves the handkerchief next to her on the windowsill. This causes Yuko to remember her doing dance practice, we see someone leve her a towel, a piece of paper and some water while her back is turned, and it turns out to be Aacchan. Yuko takes a break and sees the paper. Mariko is learning some lines from the looks of things, While she's stood up Yuko leaves her a bundle on the bench, Mariko sees the bundle and picks a note out of it. Tomochin's listening to music on the roof when her phone goes off so she checks the mail. Mayuyu is asleep on a sofa in the costume, Tomochin comes in and leves her a cuddly lamb, Mayu awakes and sees the lamb. Mayu enters the dressing room and leaves a box in front of a mirror, afterwards Takamina and her stylist come in, and Takamina notices the box as she sits down. The girls all talk about this, and we see the handkerchief has 'Aimi' sewm into it, and Maeda actually turned around to see a blurred figure walking away. Yuko looks at the note, which Aacchan signed. Mariko's note has a drawing of the food Yuko's made her. Tomochin's mail is some words from Mariko. Mayuyu's lamb has a note from Tomo attached. Takamina's box has a note from Mayu and a new ribbon. Just then in the present a figure enters with a cake.

OK, so why is this Eguchi Aimi in this? Well she auditioned for NMB's 2nd generation, but Aki-P decided she was the perfect AKB girl, and made the 16 year old 12.5th generation. She then became the centre girl for the Ice no Mi campaign. And yet she only appears blurred in the PV. Well here's a secret so secret it was reported worldwide, at least on newspapers' websites. She's not real. Yes I know you bought the issue of whatever magazine it was she did a photo shoot for, but she's still a digital combination of the others in this single. But what about the live performance she made? that was 12th generation memeber Sasaki Yukari, who provided Aimi's voice.

The A-type B-side is Seishun to Kizukanai Mama. This is the 4th and my least favorite Majijo track.
Team A: Oota Aika/Lovetan, Kuramochi Asuka/Kokabuki, Kojima Haruna/Torigoya, Sashihara Rino/Wota, Shinoda Mariko/Sado, Takajo Aki/Akicha, Takahashi Minami/Keibuho, Meada Atsuko, Maeda Ami/Mayuge
Team K: Akimoto Sayaka/Chokoku, Itano Tomomi/Shibuya, Oshima Yuko, Kikuchi Ayaka/Comeback, Nito Moeno/Bungee, Minegishi Minami/Shaku, Miyazawa Sae/Gakuran, Yokoyama Yui/Otabe
Team B: Kasai Tomomi/Ookabuki, Kashiwagi Yuki/Black, Kitahara Rie/Unagi, Komori Mika/Mukuchi, Sato Sumire/Sanshoku, Miyazaki Miho/Myao, Watanabe Mayu/Nezumi
Team 4: Oba Mina/Toshima, Shimazaki Haruka/Kanburi, Shimada Haruka/Docchi, Nagao Mariya/Mariyagi, Yamauchi Suzuran/Tsuri, Ichikawa Miori/Lemon
Team S: Matsui Jurina/Centre, Matsui Rena/Gekikara
The song talks about not appreciating youth until it's gone and your stuck with barely anything. The PV starts with shots of Nezumi lying in the empty swimming pool, and of Centre on the roof of Majijo. We get some stuff of Maeda looking sad, but a lot is also just footage from the show. We do get Shibuya looking sad as well, and Dance sat outside the room wondering about her boss. Theres also some behind the scenes footage.

We now move to the Undergirls track, as appointed by votes, so from 40 to 22:
Undergirls: Fujie Reina (K), Ichikawa Miori (4), Matsui Sakiko (K), Maeda Ami (A), Suda Akari (S), Oba Mina (4), Sato Sumire (B), Hata Sawako (KII), Komori Mika (B), Nito Moeno (K), Oya Masana (S), Oya Shizuka (A), Yamamoto Sayaka (N), Miyazaki Miho (B), Hirajima Natsumi (B), Oota Aika (A), Nakagawa Haruka (A), Takayanagi Akane (KII), Umeda Ayaka (K)
The song so far as I can tell is about going your seperate ways and holding back your love due to this. The PV was apparently filmed in a single continuous shot. We start with Ume-chan walking on screen with and announcing the start. We start with her, Akane and Haruka singing together while Myao walks in front with a bike. A bit more focus on them before turning to Myao, Lovetan and Natsumi. We turn to 3 more includin Shizuka, then Moeno, Mika and Sawako. The next 3 are sat in a group, and the last 4 are all stood together. We then see the first 3 through a curtain, which opens to reveal all of them in cheerleader outfits for the dance. We then take a look at the groups from earlier again, before having another dance segent in different costumes. After everyone else runs off shot Ume-cahn takes a moment before runnign over to a board with the song details, and everyone pulls party poppers.

The Senbatsu song for this release is honestly my favorite song. Only the dance version is up on AKB48's channel, but then I love the danae, I've learnt the dance to the short version, and the lyrics as well.
From 21 to 1, Senbatsu: Kuramochi Asuka (A), Masuda Yuka (B), Yokoyama Yui (K), Sato Amina (B), Akimoto Sayaka (K), Kasai Tomomi (B), Minegishi Minami (K), Matsui Jurina (S), Kitahara Rie (B), Takajo Aki (A), Miyazawa Sae (K), Matsui Rena (S), Sashihara Rino (A), Itano Tomomi (K), Takahashi Minami (A), Kojima Haruna (A), Watanabe Mayu (B), Shinoda Mariko (A), Kashiwagi Yuki (B), Oshima Yuko (K), Maeda Atsuko (A).
The song is about getting a 'Flying Get' of somebodies love. (Flying Get means to purchase something, like a CD, before the official release date, though legally.) The PV is a full 18 minutes, so I'll have to talk about that after the jump.

The PV starts with us watching a shadowy figure practicing with the sword, while also showing us a large room, we look towards the corner that, if looking towards the portrait on one wall, is on the left. We see that those there are eating, amongst them is Yuko, Yukirin, Mariko, Mayuyu and Kojipa. The shadowy figure stops and we see a tattoo '001' on their arm, which glows briefly. We then look exclusively at the girls as they talk, includig saying something about Marie Antoinette's famous quote, and these girls have some fairly lavish foods. The talk a bit more, before Yuko says something, which the others all question. She explains, but then goes on eating, after a moment the others do too.

We then go to a darkly lit area, where some old men are being forced to work by younger men in masks, who have a collection of weapons. They clearly don't treat the elder men well, and the younger men do some pretty intense training. We get to see the leader, and it seems all the masked men are part of a group with Ox tattos on them which glow. As the leader gives some motivational talk a voice comes from the darkness. It belongs to a mysterious figure.

We now move to the 5 girls to the right of the portrait. Takamina, Tomochin, Sasshi, Rena and Sae. They talk about the jewellery there, and after Sae and Tomochin say something cryptic Takamina demonstrates her tiaras ability to glow. They keep talking more about the whats going on, and Takamina's eye glows before they look at the girls the other side of the painting. After a bit more they raise their jewellery up.

The shadowy figure reveals that he can help them find the girls, first revealing they're in Tokyo, specifically Akihabara, before hitting the head of the weird Ox statue thing they have there.

At the other end of the room, on the same side as the first 5 girls, we look at the girls there. Rather than sitting like the other 2 groups we've seen, these girls kneel at the table, and have plainer looking food. Here we have Akicha, Jurina, Chiyuu~, Miichan and Kitarie. They also discuss the goings on. Jurina makes some comment about the girls at the top of the room. After a bit more discussion Jurina says a little more cryptic stuff. After Miichan says something to make herself sparkle the girls all dive in to the food.

The evil masked gang runs down the road.

We're in the last corner now, and the girls here don't even have a table to eat from, instead it's on the floor next to them. Kneeking here are: Sayaka, Amina, Yui, Mochi and Yuka. They talk together as well.

Boom!!! The evil guys burst into the room, as the girls who've been stood silinetly in each corner now move, and immediately head to the rooms centre. Interstingly these 4 girls also have masks and altered voices. They're made a quick job of though. Yuko has them go again, but they're easily defeated. The masked guys point to each corner of the room, and the girls rise. Yuko gives some threat. And now the music starts.

The dance version has them in these nice gold outfits, but thats not what we're here for. We start the story sections of the whole MV with the girls in red battle outfits posing, notably though Yuko's is purple. After everyone's eyes glow Yuko leads them into battle. We get some focus on each of them, with their number showing on screen as well. However the bottom 5 are soon out, followed by the next 5 despite their using spears. 7-11 go in with the metal things I should probably know the names of. They too are defeated. 6 through 2 finally go in with swords. Eventually only Yuko is left, but even with her sword sparkling she loses. She then notices the girls are taking down the portrait.

The girl from the beginning comes out, wearing a white battle outfit, it's Maeda. Yuko manages to break free. Maeda tears through the mooks, apparently killing them as the girls cheer. She demands of the leader how they found them, and he looks toward the mysterious figure. She removes her disguise, and... It's Yuko.

The two fight, even flying through the air, but it ends with Aacchan's sword to Yuko's throat.

Acchan lowers her sword and Yuko smudges out her tattoo and walks toward the exit, before Maeda drops her sword. She runs in front of Yuko, and offers her hand. Even Yuko's asking why. Maeda gives some explantion, Yuko starts crying and Maeda hugs her. Yuko apologises and Maeda forgives her, and the other girls all run in to join the hug. Apparently even the 4 useless guards and the bad guys are brought to tears.

Theres also the Minegishi Minami version of Flying Get, which, well:

AKBINGO 111221

The event this week is the AKB48 Fashion Collection Christmas SP. Sata's quick to question why Takamina's wearing her Banana Parka, which she protests is fashionable, it should be noted that the judge agreed with her the first time we saw it.

Speaking of the judge, he runs a fashion magazine as I understand, and they bring him in twice a year for these fashion shows. He rates the clothes as either 'Fashionable' (pink), 'Sort of Fashionable' (green), 'Sort of Unfashionable' (purple) and Unfashionable (brown)

The first event is to show what you would wear to impress your sempai at christmas dinner (as far as I can tell).

First up is Mariko-sama, who we're reminded last to entries were both rated as Fashionable. She comes in wearing a brown open jacket with a brown sweater underneath and a white shirt under that. Her skirt is a light brown with 4 layers of white fur at intervals up the skirt. She wears pink leggings with a heart on them, as well as high-leg boots with high heels on them, and finishes off with her 'Ue Kara Mariko Pose'. Personally I quite like it. When they discuss the clothes though Mariko reveals the shirts just a collar stuffed under the jumper. Amin apparently loves it, whilst Sasshi makes some witty comment. The judge rates it as Fashionable, proving Mariko to be the AKB Fashion Queen. He also points out how the colours work, as well as the skirt.

Next up is Kojiharunyannyan (if only I could fit 'Kojipa' in somehow), who's noted as having shown relative fashion competence in the past, with 2 'Fashionables' and 2 'Sort of Fashionables'. She has a white furry jacket, with a lace shirt underneath with a black skirt, tights, and black high heels with white toes and heels. She also has a cute, black riggon in her hair as well as heart earrings. She also has a handbag. She looks quite nice if you ask me (but don't do that, my fashion sense is appalling, plus thats what the guy judgings for). The judge rates it a Fashionable, and says the legs and the hadnbag work well. Akimoto raises some complaint I'm sure is related to one of these she did in the past, but the judge goes on to compliment her hair decs.

Next up is Tomo~mi, who it seems hasn't done this before (this kind of surprises me for some reason). She has a peach(?) coat, with a lace frilly top underneath, and a pink skirt. I like it. However apparently it's sort-of unfashionable, to a fair few surprised faces. Apprently the skirt and coat clash, which I can see now, as well as some issue with her legs.

We then get his chosen best of the 3, he selects Haruna. He then also says it's Mariko. Chiyuu~ complains, so he hands her the board with her category on it, but she still looks grumpy.

The second theme is somehing to do with a christmas date. We also get a reminder that several girls have gotten the worst ratings before, but told one will today get the Fashionable rating.

Up first is Miichan, who has consistently gotten Unfashionables in 3 previous attempts. Not really sure whats wrong with the second 2 though. Minegishi is wearing a black dress under a scarf, which has a hood on it. She also has a green patchwork bag, as well as knee-high blue socks and orange high heels. I can see problems with this, I won't lie. After demonstrating that she looks quite good without the scarf, she gets down on her knees to beg for an improved ranking. The judge has her put the bag down and take off the high heels. She looks much improved like that. However the judhe gives her an unfshionable, presumably on the original outfit. This causes her to fall to the ground. She then decides she's putting the high heels back on, as Takamina and Sashi tell her not to. However it's still Unfashionable (she looks gourgeous without anything she removed though). She puts on the scarf, but the judge explains the black clashes with the snow (I guess).

Up next is Yokoyama Yui (yay!!). I know she appeared before but I don't know the ranking. Yui walks on and OHMYGODSHESBEAUTIFUL. Oh wait thats all the time, never mind. She has a white jumper, a checked mini-skirt, long boots with heels and a red bag. I like it, but I can see things he'll likely pick on. She's rated as Sort of Unfashionable, which is either an improvement or the same but SHELOOKSWONDERFULDAMNIT. He has her try on Kojima's jacket, which makes her look better.

Up last is Sae. She's also appeared thrice beforehand with ratings of Unfashionable. Okaaaaaaayyyyyy then. Brown hooded jacket over red jumper with a face over white shirt which is also coming underneath the jumper. She's wearing Mickey ears fixed with the wizard hat from Fantasia. I don't know how to describe the pants. Theres apparently something noteworthy about her ring. She also has leopard print shoes. I don't see this doing well. It's rated Unfashionable. I'm guessing the thing earlier was asking if any of them will get a Fashionable rating earlier, not that they will.

AKB News next (damn cliffhangers). The first announcement is more news about Team A's Iwasa Misaki's upcoming solo debut, which will have an enka theme. We're also shown a sample of the PV for no3b's new single, Pedicure Day. The main song this week is SDN48's 4th and possible last single; Kudoki nagara Azabu Juuban duet with Mino Monta.

We then get the choice for best fashion out of the three of them. Sae attempts to win by jumping in front of him, but he chooses Yui (YAAY!!!). He then decides to name Sae's fashion as the worst. Next weeks more fashion.
